A Christmas Carol retold by Pauline Francis

3 May, 2008

Scrooge is an old miser who lives in his cold house by night and torments his assistant at work by day. One evening just before Christmas he is visited by the ghost of his old business partner-a ghost with a very important warning . . .

This story is very well-planed and there are many useful phrases and sentences such as ‘ The cold inside him froze his old face, nipped his pointed nose and shrivelled his cheeks’.I hate Scrooge as he tortured his own assistant in the beginning but I like him in the end as he is very nice. The part I like best is when Scrooge was visited by the Three Ghost.
