Singapore Zoo

14 June, 2010

Last Saturday I went to the Singapore Zoo. Took many photos there. :)

At first, we went to see the false gharials and the Siamangs before viewing the tigers. Then, a rain poured when we were viewing the kangaroos (my sister, Joey, favourite) so we had to hide in a shelter. Of course the rain lessen so we went for our lunch at Ah Meng’s Restaurant. After that, we went to view the orang utans and other animals.

Then another rain came and we had to hide in a shelter again. After that we viewed more animals. My favourite was the polar bear.

Then Joey and I played in the zoo’ s Kidzworld and our favourite place there was the tugboat where we had to pull the boat using the rope. For dinner, we went to PizzaHut for dinner.

What is SA1 Exam

17 May, 2010

Today someone asked me what is SA1 exam by typing in the question in the search box.

I can tell you what is it (if you are not Singaporean).

SA1 Exam stands for Semestral Assesment 1 which means it is the exam of the first half of the year. SA2 means Semestral Assessment 2 which means it is the second examination of the year which is also the exam of the second half of the year. CA1 means Continual Assessment 1 which don’t mean that it is a continuous exam that goes none stop. No, it means the exam testing you of what you learnt during the first term (A year has 4 terms). CA2 is almost the same just that it test you what you learnt during the third term.

This year I do not have SA2 because there’ s PSLE which stands for Primary School Leaving Examination. And I don’ t have CA2 as there’ s a prelim exam for PSLE. It won’ t get included in PSLE but it just shows how well you do. But I still got 4 examinations, two have passed.

So it goes like this: CA1, SA1, CA2, SA2

But for P6′s:CA1, SA1, Prelim, PSLE

My class position and level ranking

19 November, 2009

I’ m sorry I didn’ t tell all of you my class and level ranking. All of you must have been curious. Anyway, my level ranking is 8th. Joel had estimated the number of P5 pupils, which was 320. So I got 8/320 for level ranking. Nice.

As for my class position, it is17/40!!! It is the worse one I ever got! For SA1 my position is 11/39, but had pushed all the way to 17th position! I felt like a rotten egg! Joel and Jerron had tried to calm me down and tell me I am genius but I think I am a rotten egg.

If you ask me how I feel about it, I would say that I feel like a…a….rotten egg.

PS: Before you can cry out loud, “Your class ranking is 17/40 and level ranking 8/320 is IMPOSSIBLE especially if the 40 5A pupils are in the 320 P5 pupils!!”, I need to say that for the level ranking they did not count chinese but for the class ranking, they DID count chinese.

Windows 7

6 November, 2009

Last time, my computer’ s windows version is windows XP. However, now my computer’ s windows version is windows 7. It’ s  a little bit different…you know….like it can change wallpaper automatically and have a new type of toolbar. If not, I see little differences.

Yesterday’ s Outing

10 September, 2009

Before getting into this post, I need to tell all of you that

  1. I cannot do my computer until this November, so all of you must wait for a long time.
  2. This is my last post
  3. I don ‘t PLAY AQ!!!!!!

So, as a matter of fact, there is many pages of posts for all of you to see so I hope you don’ t mind. :)

Anyway, I’ m going to start this post now:

Yesterday was my aunt’ s birthday (my older aunt, mind you). She invited me with her (and my other two aunts) to go out. First, I went Jurong to meet with them. Then, we went to eat at a Japanese restaurant. I ate the seafood udon noddles and you know, I really like to eat it (the bad thing is that they disagree with my insides).

After that, we went shopping at Orchard. To be exact, they shopped while I sat on a chair and play my PSP. When it was night, we went to have dinner and I GOT TO EAT MY FAVOURITE CHILLY CRAB!!!!

And that’ s all. Meet all of you at November! :)

Lim Ding Wen

29 March, 2009

Have you heard of Lim Ding Wen? He is a 9-year-old boy who knows 7 programming languages! My father had downloaded his iPhone program named ‘Doodle Kids’. I really wished to be like him. He is only 9 years old while I am 10 years old and I only a beginner in Ruby! This boy is good!

Pity soon he will stop programming the iPhone and move to Skynet soon. I really wished to be like him. My father said that once I know Ruby, I can move to Rails. Hope that I can program well quick.
