See http://prischoolmaths.blogspot.com/2009/09/catholic-high-percentage-questions.html . The comment there by arnoldlim is by me.Something to ask you there.
Now, it’ s the March holidays. For the holidays, I often get myself addicted to Maths (do some really damn hard questions) or do my computer or read. Nothing new.
Last post tells you that I will talk about Chinese New Year in the next post when it passed. This post will tell you about how I passed my Chinese New Year. In fact, I visited 3 homes during the period of 15 days of Chinese New Year. Here are they:
My family, relatives and I went to my father’ s aunt’ s house, which is also my grandaunt’ s house. “We just eat and eat and eat there.” my mother kept saying.
My father and I went to visit his god-sister, which is also my god-aunt. In fact, she cooked some meatballs and fishballs for us to eat. She was really very nice. The meatballs and fishballs are too.
My family and I went to my father’ s colleague’ s house. His other colleagues also going to that house, but they don’ t bring their family as my father do. We ate dinner together first, then my sister, my father’ s colleague’ s son and me played Wii, the tennis game and the Mario racing game which was very funny.
We went there to in fact give oranges, send hong-baos and get hong-baos. The elder did the giving hong-baos while the younger ones did the getting hong-baos and giving oranges. Of course, I’ m the one doing the giving oranges and getting hong-baos. While for some of the days, we went to temples to pray. After all, it was the Chinese custom and I’ m a Chinese.
This week, a very bad thing happened to me. I fell down on the void deck at school and got my knee and arm bruised. And my mother put iodine on my bruises for don’ t know what. This is my first fall-down of the year and now my bruise got some iodine which is now sizzling.
The event happened yesterday when I was going to West Mall after having my Maths Olympiad tuition at Maths Hub with my mother. On our way to West Mall, we heard something like a ‘Bang!’ or ‘Boom!’ and when we turned our heads to see what happened, we saw what happened (This is a real mistake. I just canceled it to show you all about my careless mistakes when I am writing my posts) a man lying on the road and a van beside him. And behind the van was a motorcycle which I think belongs to the man that was lying on the road. The motorcycle was near a bend at the road.
Anyway, my mother and I did not know what happened and my mother asked me what had happened. So, I told her I think that the man was riding his motorcycle and rode too fast that when he turned around the bend, the motorbike smashed on the van which was traveling at the same direction as the motorbike but was slower than the motorbike. Of course the man should have been thrown off and that’ s what happened to him. In fact, I told my mother all there because it was the most likely. But I’ m not sure if it’ s true but anyway it was the most lovely likely.
At first, the man who was lying on the road was as still as a rock and I had thought that he was dead. But only a short while later, he started to grasp his stomach and looked like he was in pain. He started to move his legs which showed that he was not snapped into half in the inside of his body. But there was no blood. Some old man that looked like him dialed his handphone and (I think) called the police ambulance.
Anyway, we did not stay there to see the ambulance because it waste time and also I can see a ambulance some other time. We continued walking to West Mall and while we did those walking, my mother talked to me about road safety. When we went to the West Mall food court where my father and sister were located, my mother told the incident to my father. My father was shocked…I think.
Today, I got my Edusave Bursary. It is about that if my exam marks are one of the top 10% in the whole neighbourhood of Yew Tee, I will get a cheque from the chairman Mr Yeo Chong Teo. I got $350!!!
